INTRODUCTION
Relevance of the research topic. Law is now increasingly dwelling in the “penumbra”, the idea of which, in the special sense of the philosophy of law, was formulated in the discussion between H. Hart and L. Fuller in the middle of the XXth century.1 The ongoing digital transformation of society implies not just the development of technologies – many of them are not divorced from everyday life and change social reality to the same extent that they change the technological landscape. Modern digital technologies predetermine the formation of the information culture in which new communication practices emerge and the old ones change. In the cultural and sociological discourses, research of various aspects of the medial turn and virtual reality is of particular importance. Among the current technological phenomena of social and humanitarian discourse, above all, those that are directly aimed at social interaction catch our interest. The opportunities of social networks, instant messengers and various other multi-user environments (among which, for the purposes of this study, the videogame ones are or particular relevance) have already given rise to a number of, at first glance, isolated and funny legal problems, which in this research are interpreted as, first of all, the problems of theory of law, namely – of interpretation of legal texts and application of law.2 For example, making law enforcement decisions about blocking Internet resources containing information on the objects related to game context, as it happened in the case of blocking of the information on manufacturing of virtual

– P. 630–672. The discussion was published in translation into Russian in the journal “Proceedings of Higher Education Institutions. Law" in 2005, see Hart H.L.A. Positivism and the Separation of Law and Morals / Transl. into Russian by V.V. Arkhipov // Proceedings of Higher Education Institutions. Law. – 2005. – No. 5. – PP. 102–136; Fuller L.L. Positivism and Fidelity to Law – a Reply to Professor Hart / Transl. into Russian by V.V. Arkhipov // Proceedings of Higher Educational Institutions. Jurisprudence. 2005. No. 6. PP. 124–159. The fundamental importance of this discussion for jurisprudence can be considered as a well-known fact in legal studies, and many foreign and domestic authors wrote about it. See e.g.: Ogleznev V.V., Surovtsev V.A. Philosophical Views of the «Early» H. Hart and the Problems of Legal Language // Hart H.L.A. Philosophy and Legal Language. М., 2017. PP. 7–26.
2 This is the reason for the specialty of 12.00.01, which is attributed to the present study, in which the issues of the
operation of law in the media space are considered from the point of view of general theoretical problems of interpretation of law, as well as the implementation and application of law, with their subsequent interpretation as also related to the problems of ontology of law. Accordingly, we are talking about paragraphs 1.14, 1.13 and 1.1 of the Passport of the Specialty 12.00.01 as of September 2019.
