In the article the problems of staffing of modern multipurpose sports complexes are considered. It is noted that the efficiency of sports complexes functioning is first of all connected with management of its major resources - the personnel and material base. The essence of personnel potential of a sports complex is defined. The factors stabilizing and destabilizing development of personnel potential are listed and considered. Diagnostics of a situation in physical culture and sport sphere is carried out, the condition of educational system for sports and pedagogical personnel; regulatory impact level on complexes from the "higher" organizations is described. Results of author's sociological research on problems of sports complexes employees' motivation and also questions of ensuring continuous professional development are analyzed.
